Welcome to the official website of Danny and Ranette Foster. Together with our sons, Josiah and Isaac, we are on assignment with SIL International serving Uganda and Tanzania with language development and Bible translation. We are sent and supported by Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada, the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada, and various individual partners.
We feel strongly that everyone should have the opportunity to read and write in their own language. We also feel that no one should have to learn a new Language in order to have access to the Bible. There are 6.5 billion people in the world speaking 6,909 languages. Of these, there are 2,393 languages with a probable need for Bible translation. That means about 200 million people don't have adequate access to the Scriptures.
We are committed to Wycliffe International's Vision 2025 which states,
"Serving in partnership worldwide to see Bible translation begun by 2025 in every remaining language community that needs it."
